Non-Violence Statement

March 4 Democracy (M4D) is a peaceful, nonviolent movement exercising our constitutionally protected rights to free speech, lawful assembly, and petition for redress of grievances under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

We organize and act lawfully and without violence. We do not engage in physical harm, destruction of property, or intimidation. We do not carry weapons. We do not initiate confrontation. Our actions are grounded in the law, discipline, coordination, and a firm commitment to public safety.

That said, our words may offend people. We speak plainly. We speak forcefully. We call out corruption, cowardice, and abuse of power without sugarcoating it. Free speech is not required to be polite.

Nonviolence does not mean submission. It does not mean civility theater. And it does not mean asking nicely for our rights while they’re stripped away.

Participation in March 4 Democracy actions requires respect for this commitment to lawful, peaceful conduct. Anyone attempting to incite violence, bring weapons, or undermine the safety of others is acting outside our values and movement and will be removed from our events without warning.

We choose nonviolence because it is powerful, strategic, and righteous—and because democracy is defended by people who stand their ground without becoming what they oppose.

We will be loud. We will be unapologetic. We will be peaceful. We will exercise our rights—fully, lawfully, and without fear.

And if we offend some MAGAts in the process, we truly do not give a fuck.

America Won't Save Itself. We Will.

If our elected officials won’t do their damn jobs, then we’ll do what Americans have always done when pushed to the brink: we rise up and take the future into our own hands.

We march because we love this country enough to fight like hell for it. We march because democracy dies when people stay home. We march because the smallest act of courage is showing up.

On February 28, 2026, we take Washington, D.C. And we march for democracy, for justice, and for dignity, for all.

WE ARE M4D. AND WE ARE DONE BEING FUCKING IGNORED.
